Note:Turnoffthecomputerandwait3to5minutestoletthecomputercooldownbeforeremovingthe
computercover.

recommendsthatyouuseablanket,towel,orothersoftclothtoprotectthecomputerscreenfromscratches
orotherdamage.
ToreplacetheCPU
Important:ThefollowingdescriptionappliesformodelC320only.
Step1.Removeanymedia(disks,CDs,ormemorycards)fromthedrives,shutdowntheoperating
system,andturnoffthecomputerandallattacheddevices.
Step2.Unplugallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
Step3.Disconnectallcablesattachedtothecomputer.Thisincludespowercords,input/output(I/O)
cables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.Referto“Leftandrightview”
and“Rearview”forhelpwithlocatingthevariousconnectors.
Step4.Removetheopticaldrive.Referto“Replacingtheopticaldrive” .
Step5.Removetheharddiskdrivecover.Referto“Replacingtheharddiskdrive” .
Step6.Removethespeakercover.Referto“Removingthespeakercover”.
Step7.Removethecomputercover.Referto“Removingthecomputercover”.
Step8.RemovetheEMIcover.RefertoRemovingtheEMICover”.
Step9.Removetheheatsink.Referto“Replacingtheheatsink” .
Step10.Liftthesmallhandleandopentheretainer.
Step11.Liftthemicroprocessorstraightupandoutofthesocket.
Attention:Donottouchthegoldcontactsonthebottomofthemicroprocessor.Whenhandingthe
microprocessor,touchonlythesides.
