interruptiontotheoperationofthesystem.
TheEMIintegrityandcoolingofthestoragearrayareprotectedbyhavingalldrivebayscoveredor
occupied.Thenumberoftheinstalleddrivesinyourstoragearrayvariesdependingonthestoragearray
model.Thevacantbaysareoccupiedbydummydrivetrays.Whenyouinstalladrive,savetheremoved
dummydrivetrayfromthedrivebayintheeventthatyoulaterremovethedriveandneedthedummy
drivetraytocovertheplace.
Attention:AnunoccupieddrivebaywithoutanyotherprotectionmightimpacttheEMIintegrityandcooling
ofthestoragearray,whichmightresultinoverheatingorcomponentdamage.TomaintaintheEMIintegrity
andcoolingofthestoragearray,installanewdriveassoonasyouremovethefailingoneorthedummy
drivetray.

•Fordriveswithdifferentcapacities,installthedrivebyfollowingtheorderofthedrivebaysaswellasthe
orderfromthelowestcapacitytothehighestcapacity.
