6.Tightenthethumbscrewontheservercovertosecuretheservercoverinplace.
Note:Forsafetyconsideration,ensurethatyouuseatool,forexampleascrewdriver,totightenthe
thumbscrewandalwaysensurethatthethumbscrewissecurelyinstalled.Also,donotover-tighten
thethumbscrew.
7.Locktheservercoverandserverfrontdoortoensurethesecurity.See“Serverlocks”onpage20.
8.Reconnectexternalcablesandpowercordstotheserver.See“Rearviewoftheserver”onpage17to
identifytheconnectorsontherearpaneloftheserver.
Attention:Toavoidcomponentdamage,connectthepowercordslast.
Note:Inmostareasoftheworld,LenovorequiresthereturnofthedefectiveCRU.Informationaboutthiswill
comewiththeCRUorwillcomeafewdaysaftertheCRUarrives.
Updatingtheserverconfiguration
Whenyouturnontheserverforthefirsttimeafteryouinstall,remove,orreplaceadevice,youmight
needtoupdatetheserverconfiguration.
Someoptionaldeviceshavedevicedriversthatyoumustinstall.Forinformationaboutinstallingdevice
drivers,usethedocumentationthatcomeswitheachoptionaldevice.Toobtainthesupporteddevice
driversforyourserverfromtheLenovoSupportWebsite,gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/driversfollowthe
instructionsontheWebpagetofindanddownloadthedevicedriversyouneed.
