edge.Makesurethelatcheslockthememorymoduleinplace.
Step7.Reattachthecomputercoverandsecureitwiththescrews.
ReplacingtheWLANcard
Note:Turnoffthecomputerandwait3to5minutestoletitcooldownbeforeremovingthecover.
Note:Itmaybehelpfultoplacethecomputerface-downonasoftatsurfaceforthisprocedure.Lenovo
recommendsthatyouuseablanket,towel,orothersoftclothtoprotectthecomputerscreenfromscratches
orotherdamage.
ToreplacetheWLANcard:
Step1.Removeanymedia(disks,CDs,ormemorycards)fromthedrives,shutdowntheoperating
system,andturnoffthecomputerandallattacheddevices.
Step2.Unplugallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
Step3.Disconnectallcablesattachedtothecomputer.Thisincludespowercords,input/output(I/O)
cables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothecomputer.Referto“Leftandrightview”
and“Rearview”forhelpwithlocatingthevariousconnectors.
Step4.Removethecomputercover.Referto“Removingthecomputercover”.
Step5.Disconnectthe2antennacablesfromtheWLANcard.
Step6.RemovethescrewthatsecurestheWLANcardtothemotherboard.
Step7.PulltheWLANcardupwardtoremoveitfromthecardport.
Step8.LineupthenewWLANcard,theninsertitintothecardportandsecureittothemotherboard
withthescrew.
Step9.Connectthe2antennacablestothenewWLANcard.
Step10.Reattachthecomputercover.
Removingthepowerbutton
