3.Turnyourcomputeroffandthenturnitonagain.
4.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,pressF1.theThinkPadSetupprogrammainmenuopens.
5.SelectSecurity,usingthecursordirectionalkeystomovedownthemenu.
6.SelectPassword.
7.SelectSupervisorPassword.
8.Awindowopens,promptingyoutoenteranewpassword.Dependingonyourneeds,dooneofthe
following:
•Tosetapassword,dothefollowing:
a.ChooseyoursupervisorpasswordandtypeitintheEnterNewPasswordeld;thenpressEnter.
b.PressEntertomovetothenextline.Retypethepasswordyoujustenteredtoverifyit.
•Tochangeapassword,dothefollowing:
a.IntheEnterCurrentPasswordeld,typethecurrentsupervisorpassword.
b.IntheEnterNewPasswordeld,typethenewsupervisorpassword;thenretypethepassword
youjustenteredtoverifyitintheConrmNewPasswordeld.
•Toremoveapassword,dothefollowing:
a.IntheEnterCurrentPasswordeld,typethecurrentsupervisorpassword.
b.LeavetheEnterNewPasswordandConrmNewPasswordeldsblank.
