2.Duringthestartup,whenaprompttopressCtrl+ItoentertheCongurationUtilityisdisplayedonthe
screen,pressandholdtheCtrlkey,andpresstheIkey.
3.ThescreenforIntelRapidStorageTechnologyoptionROMisdisplayed.Select“CreateRAIDVolume”
andpressEnter.
4.Usingtheupanddownarrowkeys,Tabkeys,andEnterkeyselecttheRAIDlevelandllinotherelds.
5.Select“CreateVolume”bypressingtheEnterkey.Whenthedialogboxappears,presstheYkey.
Attention:AllexistingdatawillbeerasedwhiletheRAIDvolumeisbeingcreated.
6.ExittheCongurationUtility.
DeletingRAIDvolumes
ThissectiondescribeshowtousetheIntelRapidStorageTechnologyoptionROMCongurationUtilityto
deleteRAIDvolumes.
TodeleteRAIDvolumes,doasfollows:
1.T urnonthecomputer.
2.Duringthestartup,whenaprompttopressCtrl+ItoentertheCongurationUtilityisdisplayedonthe
screen,pressandholdtheCtrlkey,andpresstheIkey.
3.ThescreenforIntelRapidStorageTechnologyoptionROMisdisplayed.SelecttheRAIDvolumetobe
deleted,andpressDelete.
4.Whenprompted,pressYkeytoconrmthedeletionoftheselectedRAIDvolume.
5.AfterdeletingaRAIDvolume,youcan:
•Returntostep2todeleteadditionalRAIDvolume.
•See“CreatingRAIDvolumes”onpage53
forRAIDvolumecreation.
•UsethearrowkeystoselectExitandpressEnter.
•UsethearrowkeystoselectResettingdiskstonon-RAID,andpressEnter.
Attention:IftheSerialATAitemintheBIOSSetupUtilitymenuofthecomputeryouareservicingwassetto
AHCIwhenitwasmanufactured,thentocreateaRAIDarrayyoumustrstenableRAIDinBIOS,create
RAIDvolume,andthenreinstalltheoperatingsystem.Alldataontheharddiskswillbeerasedduringthis
