CompletingtheFRUreplacement

AfterreplacingtheFRUs,youneedtoinstallanyremovedparts,reinstallthecomputercover,andreconnect

anycables,includingtelephonelinesandpowercords.DependingontheFRUthatwasreplaced,you

mightneedtoconrmtheupdatedinformationintheSetupUtilityprogram,seeChapter6“Usingthe

SetupUtility”onpage43.

Note:Whenthepowercordisrstpluggedin,thecomputermightappeartoturnonforafewsecondsand

thenturnoff.Thisisanormalsequencetoenablethecomputertoinitialize.

TocompletetheFRUsreplacement:

1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft

insideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage109forthelocationofvariouscomponents.
