Toreplacealeinabasebackup,dothefollowing:

1.Modifytheleyouwanttoreplaceinthebasebackup,forexample,C:\install.log.

2.Createalenamedle.txtintherootoftheC:\directory.

3.Editthele.txtleandaddthefollowingpathfortheleyoumodied:R=<fullpathtotheleyou

modied>.Thefollowingprovidesanexample:

R=c:\install.log

Note:Youmusthavethele.txtleclosed.

4.Run

RRCMDChangebaselename=c:\le.txtdrive=c:destination="c:\RRBACKUPS"

Howtorestoreabackupfromspecicsystem

TheRescueandRecoveryprogramnowsupportstostorethebackupdataofmultiplecomputerson

onestoragedevice.Thevariousbackupsaredifferentiatedbytheuniqueuuidcommand.Ifyouwantto

restoreaspecicbackup,dothefollowing:

Note:SupposethebackupsarestoredinaUSBstoragedevice.

1.RetrievevalueofUUIDandIndex.YoucangetthevalueofUUIDandIndexofthebackupsstoredinthe

USBstoragedevice,byexecutingeitherofthefollowingcommands:

•

rrcmdlistsystemlocation=Ulistbackup

2.Selectyourbackuptorestore.Forexample,thecommandbelowistorestoretherstbackup(index=1)

thatislevel=2:

rrcmdrestorelocation=Uindex=1level=2

Thecleandrv.exelecleansalllesonthedrive.Therewillbenooperatingsystemafterrunningthis

CONVDATE

TheCONVDATEutilityisprovidedaspartoftheRescueandRecoveryAdministrationtools.Thisutilityis

usedtodeterminetheHEXvaluesofdateandtimeandtoconvertdateandtimevaluesintoHEXvalues,and

canbeusedtosetacustomdateandtimeinabackupeldoftheregistry.
