1.Connectyourtablettoacpowertoensurethattherewillbenopowerinterruptionduringtherecovery

2.Turnoffthetablet,waitforaboutfiveseconds,andthenconnecttheUSBrecoverykeytotheUSB
2.0connectorofyourtablet.
3.Pressandholdthepowerbuttontogetherwiththevolume-upbuttonatthesametimetoenter
theThinkPadSetupprogram.
4.TapStartup.OntheBootsubmenu,dragUSBCD/DVD:upwarduntilUSBCD/DVD:isshown
asthefirststartupdevice.
5.TapSave,andthentapYestosaveyourconfiguration.
6.TapRestartandfollowtheon-screeninstructionstorestartthetablet.Afterthetabletrestarts,the
recoveryprogramopensautomatically.
7.Selectthelanguageyoupreferinthedrop-downlistboxandtapNext.
8.Followtheon-screeninstructionstoresetyourtablettothefactorydefaultsettings.
Usingtheadvancedstartupoptions
Withtheadvancedstartupoptions,youcanchangethefirmwaresettingsofthetablet,changethestartup
settingsoftheWindowsoperatingsystem,startthetabletfromanexternaldevice,orrestoretheWindows
operatingsystemfromasystemimage.
Tousetheadvancedstartupoptions,dothefollowing:
1.Swipeinfromtherightedgeofthescreentodisplaythecharms.
2.TapSettingsChangePCsettings.
3.Inthenavigationpanel,tapUpdateandrecoveryRecovery.
4.IntheAdvancedstartupsection,tapRestartnowTroubleshootAdvancedoptions.
5.Selectadesiredstartupoption,thenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
