TodeleteapreviouslysetPower-OnPassword,dothefollowing:
1.FromtheSecuritymenu,selectSetPower-OnPasswordandpressEnter.
2.Thepassworddialogboxwillbedisplayed.EnterCurrentPasswordandpressEnter.PressEnterinNew
PasswordandconrmNewPassworddialog.Asetupnoticewilldisplaythatchangeshavebeensaved.
3.SelectExit.
4.SelectSavechangesandExit.
Afterthepasswordisset,youmayselectthe“Advanced”and“Devices”tabformoredevicesetup.
UsingDevice
Deviceisusedtoenableordisableuseraccesstothefollowingdevice:
USBSetupWhenthisfeatureissettoDisable,thedeviceofUSB
SetupisDisabledandwillnotbedisplayedinthesystem
conguration.
TosetDevice,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram(see“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage13).
2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammenu,selectDevices.
3.SelectUSBSetup.
4.SelectDisabledorEnabledandpressEnter.
5.ReturntotheSetupUtilityprogrammenuandpressF10tosavecongurationchangesandexitsetup.
Note:Ifyoudonotwanttosavethesettings,selectExitandselectDiscardchangesandExit.Y ou
cansetotherssuchasAudioSetupandNetworkSetup.Seetheinformationdisplayedontheright
sideofthescreen.
Selectingastartupdevice
Ifyourcomputerdoesnotstartup(boot)fromadevicesuchastheCD-ROM,diskette,orharddiskas
expected,useoneofthefollowingprocedurestoselectastartupdevice.
Selectingatemporarystartupdevice
Usethisproceduretostartupfromanybootdevice.
Note:NotallCDs,harddisks,anddiskettesarebootable.
1.Turnoffyourcomputer.
2.PressandholdtheF12keythenturnonthecomputer.WhentheStartupDeviceMenuappears,release
theF12key.
Note:IfyouareusingaUSBkeyboardandtheStartupDeviceMenudoesnotdisplayusingthismethod,
repeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keyratherthanleavingitpressedwhenturningonthecomputer.
3.SelectthedesiredstartupdevicefromtheStartupDeviceMenuandpressEntertobegin.
Note:SelectingastartupdevicefromtheStartupDevicemenudoesnotpermanentlychangethe
startupsequence.
