Youcaninstallanewhot-swapharddiskdriveorreplaceafailinghot-swapharddiskdrivewithoutturning
offtheserver,whichhelpsyouavoidsignicantinterruptiontotheoperationofthesystem.
TheEMIintegrityandcoolingoftheserverareprotectedbyhavingalldrivebayscoveredoroccupied.The
numberoftheinstalledharddiskdrivesinyourservervariesdependingontheservermodel.Thevacant
baysareeithercoveredbyanEMI-protectivepaneloroccupiedbydummyharddiskdrivetrays.Whenyou
installahot-swapharddiskdrive,savetheremoveddummyharddiskdrivetrayintheeventthatyoulater
removethehot-swapharddiskdriveandneedthedummytraytocovertheplace.
Attention:AnunoccupieddrivebaywithoutanyotherprotectionmightimpacttheEMIintegrityandcooling
oftheserver,whichmightresultinoverheatingorcomponentdamage.TomaintaintheEMIintegrityand
