ThefirmwareintheserverisperiodicallyupdatedandisavailablefordownloadontheLenovoWebsite.

leveloffirmware,suchastheBIOSupdatesanddevicedrivers.
Whenyoureplaceadeviceintheserver,youmighthavetoeitherupdatetheserverwiththelatestversionof
thefirmwarethatisstoredinmemoryonthedeviceorreflashtheBIOS,theTMMfirmware,andtheFRU/SDR.
UsingtheFirmwareUpdaterprogram
TheFirmwareUpdaterprogramenablesyoutomaintainyoursystemfirmwareup-to-dateandhelpsyou
avoidunnecessaryoutages.
ToupdateyoursystemfirmwareusingtheFirmwareUpdaterprogram,dothefollowing:

2.DownloadtheISOimagefortheFirmwareUpdaterprogramandtheinstallationinstructionsinaTXTfile.
3.UseanyCDorDVDburningsoftwaretocreateabootablediscwiththeISOimage.
4.PrinttheTXTfilethatcontainstheinstallationinstructionsandfollowtheinstructionstousetheFirmware
Updaterprogramtoupdateyoursystemfirmware.
