Putting your computer to sleep
Ifyouwillbeawayfromyourcomputerforonlyashorttime,putthecomputerto
sleep.Whenthecomputerisinsleepmode,youcanquicklywakeittoresume
use,bypassingthestartupprocess.Toputthecomputertosleep,dooneofthe
following:
• Closethedisplaypanel.
• Pressthepowerbutton.
• OpentheCharmsandthenselect

Attention:
Waituntilthepowerindicator lightstartsblinking(indicatingthat
thecomputerisinsleepmode) beforeyoumoveyourcomputer.Movingyour
computerwhile theharddisk isspinningcan damagetheharddisk, causing
lossofdata.

• Pressanykeyonthekeyboard.
