Replacingtheharddiskdrive
Attention:Donotopenyourcomputerorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstandingthe“Important
safetyinformation”onpagev.
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplacetheprimaryharddiskdrive.
Note:Dependingonyourmodeltype,yourcomputermightcomewitha2.5-inchsolidstatedrive.
Toreplacetheprimaryharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Openthecomputercover.See“Openingthecomputercover”onpage32.
3.Locatetheharddiskdrive.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage11.
4.Pullonthehandleoftheharddiskdrivebracketasshownandthenlifttheharddiskdrivebracket
upfromtheopticaldrivebay.
