OntheBootmenuoftheBIOS,makesurethattheharddiskdriveisontheBootpriorityorderlist.Ifitison
theExcludedfrombootorderlist,itisdisabled.SelecttheentryforitonthelistandpresstheShift+1key.
ThismovestheentrytotheBootpriorityorderlist.
Opticaldriveproblems
Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.
YouhearanoisefromthedrivewhentheCD,DVD,orCD-RWdiscisspinning.
Ifthediscisnotcorrectlyloadedonthecenterpivotofthedrive,itmightrubagainstthedrivecoverand
makeanoise.Makesurethatthediscisloadedcorrectlyinthedrive.
Thetraydoesnotopenevenifyoupresstheejectbutton.
Whenyourcomputerisnotturnedon,pressingtheejectbuttondoesnotcausethedrivetraytoopen.Make
surethatthecomputeristurnedonandthatthedriveconnectorisrmlyconnectedtothecomputer.
Ifthetraystilldoesnotopen,makesurethatthecomputerisrunning,andinserttheendofastraightened
paperclipintotheemergencyejecthole.Thetraywillopen.

recoverdatafromtheharddiskdrive.YoumusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorizedservicerora
marketingrepresentativetohavetheharddiskdrivereplaced.Proofofpurchaseisrequired,andafee
willbechargedforpartsandservice.
•Ifyouforgetyoursupervisorpassword,aLenovoauthorizedservicercannotresetyourpassword.You
musttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoauthorizedserviceroramarketingrepresentativetohavethe
systemboardreplaced.Proofofpurchaseisrequired,andafeewillbechargedforpartsandservice.
