•Checkthecapacityofyourharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivefromtimetotime.Iftheharddiskdriveor
solid-statedrivegetstoofull,theWindowsoperatingsystemwillslowdownandmightproduceerrors.
Tochecktheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivecapacity,dothefollowing:
–Windows7:ClickStart➙Computer.
–Windows8.1:OpentheFileExplorerandclickComputer.
•Emptyyourrecyclebinonaregularbasis.
•Usediskdefragmenttoolregularlyonyourharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivetoimprovedataseek
andreadtimes.
•Tofreeupdiskspace,uninstallunusedapplicationprograms.
Note:Youalsomightwanttolookforprogramduplicationoroverlappingversions.
•CleanoutyourInbox,Sent,andTrashfoldersfromyoure-mailclientprogram.
•Backupyourdataatleastonceaweek.Ifcriticaldataispresent,itisagoodideatoperformadaily
