Youalsocanusethecamerawithotherprogramsthatprovidefeaturessuchasphotographing,video
capturing,andvideoconferencing.Tousethecamerawithotherprograms,startoneoftheprograms
andstartthephotographing,videocapturing,orvideoconferencingfunction.Then,thecamerastarts
automaticallyandthecamera-in-useindicatorturnsoningreen.Formoreinformationaboutusingthe
camerawithaprogram,refertothehelpinformationsystemoftheprogram.
Configuringcamerasettings
Youcanconfigurethecamerasettingstomeetyourneeds,suchasadjustingthequalityofthevideooutput.
Toconfigurethecamerasettings,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:StarttheCommunicationsUtilityprogram.ClicktheManageSettingsbuttonand
configurethecamerasettingsasdesired.
•ForWindows8.1,dooneofthefollowing:
–Configurethecamerasettingsdirectlyfromtheprogramthatisusingthecamera.Fordetails,seethe
helpinformationsystemoftheprogram.
–ClickLenovoSettingsfromtheStartscreen.ThenclickCamera.Followtheinstructionsonthe
screentoconfigurethecamerasettingsasdesired.
Usingaflashmediacard
Yourcomputerhasamediacardreaderslot,anditsupportsthefollowingtypesofcards:
•MultiMediaCard(MMC)module
•SecureDigital(SD)card
•SecureDigitaleXtended-Capacity(SDXC)card
•SecureDigitalHigh-Capacity(SDHC)card
Note:YourcomputerdoesnotsupporttheCPRMfeaturefortheSDcard.
Attention:Whiletransferringdatatoorfromaflashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyour
computerintosleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransfercompletes;otherwise,yourdatacould
becomedamaged.
Installingaflashmediacard
Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingacard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisaction
reducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Staticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
Toinstallaflashmediacard,dothefollowing:
1.Locatethemediacardslotonyourcomputer.See“Left-sideview”onpage5.
2.Ensurethatthemetalcontactsofthecardarefacingdownandpointingtowardthemediacardslot.
3.Pressthecardfirmlyintothemediacardslot.
Iftheplug-and-playfeatureisnotenabledfortheinstalledflashmediacard,dothefollowingtoenable
thefeature:
