Ifyourstoragearrayhasairductsorairbaffles,donotremovethemwhilethestoragearrayisrunning.
Operatingthestoragearraywithouttheairductsorairbafflesmightcauseoverheatingproblems.
Workingwiththestoragearraywiththepoweron
Attention:Staticelectricitythatisreleasedtointernalstoragearraycomponentswhenthestoragearrayisturnedon
mightcausethestoragearraytohalt,whichmightresultinthelossofdata.Toavoidthispotentialproblem,always
useanESDwriststraporothergroundingsystemwhenyouworkinsidethestoragearraywiththepoweron.
Followtheseguidelineswhenyouworkwiththestoragearraywiththepoweron:
Avoidwearingloose-fittingclothingonyourforearms.Buttonlong-sleevedshirts;donotwearcufflinks.
Donotallowyournecktieorscarftohanginsidethestoragearray.
Removejewelry,suchasbracelets,necklaces,rings,andloose-fittingwristwatches.
Removeitemsfromyourshirtpocket,suchaspensandpencils.Theseitemsmightfallintothestorage
arrayasyouleanoverit.
Avoiddroppinganymetallicobjectsintothestoragearray,suchaspaperclips,hairpins,andscrews.
Installing,removing,orreplacinghardware
