AfterenablingtheICEthermalalertfunction,whencriticalthermalsituationsoccur,suchasmalfunctioning
fans,abnormallyhightemperature,andpoorcoolingperformances,analertlogwillbewrittenintothe
Windowssystemlog.Thealertlogcanhelpyouidentifythethermalproblems.
ToconfiguretheICEthermalalertfunction,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage37.
2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectPower.
3.SelectIntelligentCoolingEngine(ICE).TheIntelligentCoolingEngine(ICE)windowisdisplayed.
4.SelectICEThermalAlert.TheICEThermalAlertwindowisdisplayed.
5.SelectEnabledorDisabledasdesired.
6.PressF10tosaveyoursettingandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.See“ExitingtheSetupUtility
program”onpage42

ExitingtheSetupUtilityprogram
Afteryoufinishviewingorchangingsettings,pressEsctoreturntotheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu.
YoumighthavetopressEscseveraltimes.Dooneofthefollowing:
•Ifyouwanttosavethenewsettings,pressF10tosavechangesandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.
•Ifyoudonotwanttosavethesettings,selectExit➙DiscardChangesandExit,andthenpressEnter.
WhentheResetWithoutSavingwindowdisplays,selectYes,andthenpressEntertoexittheSetup
Utilityprogram.
•Ifyouwanttoreturntothedefaultsettings,pressF9toloadthedefaultsettings,andthenpressF10to
saveandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.
