Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconfirmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage55
.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft
insideyourcomputer.See“LocatingmajorFRUsandCRUs”onpage76forthelocationsofvarious
componentsinyourcomputer.
2.Ensurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectly.Keepcablesclearofthehingesandsidesofthecomputer
chassistoavoidinterferencewithclosingthecomputercover.
3.Lowerthedrivebayassembly.See“Accessingthesystemboardcomponentsanddrives”onpage126.
4.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”on
page124.
5.Positionthecomputercoveronthechassissothattherailguidesonthecomputercoverengagethe
railsonthechassis.Then,slidethecomputercovertothefrontofthecomputeruntilitsnapsinto
positionandisclosed.Then,installthetwoscrewstosecurethecomputercover.
