Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermighthaveawirelessWANcardinstalledinthePCIExpressHalf
MiniCardslot.ToreplacethePCIExpressHalfMiniCardwithanewone,readthefollowingprerequisites.

Duringelectricalstorms,donotconnectthecabletoordisconnectitfromthetelephoneoutlet
onthewall.

Electriccurrentfrompower,telephone,andcommunicationcablesishazardous.Toavoidshock
hazard,disconnectthecablesbeforeopeningthecoverofthisslot.
Attention:BeforeyoustartinstallingaPCIExpressHalfMiniCard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetal
object.Thisactionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
ToreplacethePCIExpressHalfMiniCardforwirelessWANconnection,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercool.
2.Removethekeyboard.Fordetailsofremovingthekeyboard,see“Replacingthekeyboard”onpage77.
3.Ifatoolforremovingconnectorsisincludedinthepackagewiththenewcard,useittodisconnectthe
cablesfromthecard.Ifnosuchtoolisincluded,disconnectthecablesbypickinguptheconnectors
withyourngersandgentlyunpluggingthem.
