Replacingamemorymodule
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Prerequisitesfortheprocedure
Note:Theoperatingspeedofthememorymodulehasdependencyonthesystemconguration.Insome
conditions,thememorymoduleinyourcomputermightnotbeabletooperateatthemaximumspeed.
Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingamemorymodule,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.This
actionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethememorymodule.
Toreplaceamemorymodule,refertotheinstructionsforthecomputer.

Toreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercool.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebattery.See“Replacingthebattery”onpage35.
4.Loosenorremovethescrews1,andthenremovethecover2.

5.Ifonememorymodulesisalreadyinthememoryslot,pressoutonthelatchesonbothedgesofthe
socketatthesametime
3,andthenremovethememorymodule4tomakeroomforthenewone.
Savetheremovedmemorymoduleforfutureuse.
